[Re]Rendering the Real
Masters Thesis (Distinction)
This piece is an amalgam of the previous two papers, and begins to precise my interest in phantasmagoric scenographic intervention, with a leftist, ecological ethic and an unwavering pursuit of enchantments in the everyday.

Small Wonders
Contributing Seminar Paper (MA)
Small Wonders brings together my love of mycology (the study of mushrooms) with scenographic practice, exploring the potential for a eco-scenographic approach informed by mycological praxis and thinking. What might fungi teach us about ways of seeing, designing and making in this moment of climate breakdown, and what generative possibilities does a mycoscenographic lens offer?
Shimmers of Magic
Contributing Seminar Paper (MA)
The first contributory paper to my MA, Shimmers tacks towards an alternate approach to making inspired by animism; and is undergirded by decolonial theory.
This Way to Elsewhere
Honours Thesis (First Class Pass)
This piece was my first major work at UCT, and was submitted in fulfillment of my Honours in Technical Theatre & Scenography.
The paper offers an in depth survey of contemporary scenographic theory, focusing on immersive practice and using the theatre company Punchdrunk's resident New York show, Sleep No More - as a case study. I forward the concept of 'Elsewheres' to name magical temporary environments conjured principally by means of scenographics.
